Communal Harmony Campaign Week

Communal Harmony Campaign Week was observed by High Commission of India, Ottawa from 19-25 November, 2017. All India based members of the Mission were encouraged to donate generously to raise funds for supporting activities of National Foundation for Communal Harmony that provides financial assistance to those children who have become destitute and/or orphans in communal caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, up to the age of 25 years.

A session to emphasise on the need for fostering communal harmony, national integration and fraternity was organised for all members of the Mission on November 21, 2017 in which Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Arun Kumar Sahu briefed everybody about the rationale behind observance of Communal Harmony Week and also guided how these values may be promoted effectively. He said that we all have an inherent inclination towards communal harmony but the need of the hour is to reinforce it.
